I think that you will need to go back to Russia. But you need to talk to your school's international students office for help. It is odd that your visa expired during your studies. Of course, you are now in the US illegally and you need to be very careful.
2 :
You can visit the American embassy in Canada or Mexico - it depends on what coast you're on, but there is an American embassy in Ottawa, Canada and one in Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal. This is where you normally have to renew your visa - I am of Romanian nationality, though an American citizen, but I have accompanied my Moldovan friends and boyfriend to Canada on more than one occasion so they could renew their F-1 student visas. Please keep in mind - if your visa is expired, there are many new laws recently passed by the USCIS and Department of State. They may deny your visa in Canada, and you will be unable to return to the U.S. Additionally, if you overstayed on your visa, and floated in the States as a non-status immigrant, you could be considered illegal and may have to return to Russia and apply for the visa there. Usually you only have to return to your home country if you are CHANGING your status, not renewing it, but I don't understand how you have student status until 2012 but your visa expired? You may have initially only been approved for student status until 2012, dependent on your proposed graduation time, but that doesn't promise that your visa will be good until that time. Honestly, if I were you, I would speak with an immigration attorney and get a consultation. You don't want to leave the country and find yourself stranded in Canada or Mexico, or in a situation where you might have to return home.

An F-1 visa allows you to enter the country. As long as you are maintaining your student status you are legal. Don't leave the country or you will have to get a new visa. Talk to your foreign student office(or whatever it is called at your school) and make sure you are still in status. Good Luck!

How to get a student Visa?

How to get a student Visa?
I am currently residing in the USA illegally since I was brought by my parents as a very young child and I'm attending a county college. I wanted to know if it was possible to return to Mexico and apply for a student visa since I have already been accepted into the college or if I might be able to do it from here. Thanks for any information or personal experience on the subject, it's very much appreciated!

You can't do it from here because you are illegally in the USA. If you leave the USA you'll face a 10 year ban on returning due to the fact that you lived in the USA more than a year as an illegal alien.
2 :
If you are under 18.5 you may just be able to do that you must return to you home country and apply from there
3 :
You can't get a student visa while you are here illegally, you have to apply from Mexico. If you have lived here illegally as an adult, you will get a 10 year ban when you apply for a visa. Once you turned 18,your illegal status became your responsibility, you can no longer use your parents as an excuse for living here illegally. Once your ban is over and you can prove you are able to pay international student tuition, you may be able to come back.

assuming you're over 18 1/2 Yak Rider is right. even if you're under that, Dave is probably wrong. if you've been living in the US most of your life, your chances of getting a student visa back home in Mexico are pretty poor. You don't really have any ties to Mexico at this point and you'll almost certainly be turned down for a student visa or a tourist visa.

What are typical Christmas gifts given to a child in Mexico?

What are typical Christmas gifts given to a child in Mexico?
I am teaching a group of students a lesson on Christmas in Mexico. From what I have read about Christmas in Mexico, Christmas is still really celebrating Christ's birth! I love that! In the United States, so much emphasis is given to gift-giving from Santa. Do children in Mexico expect lots of gifts like in the USA? Are the gifts big and elaborate or small and meaningful?

I have family that lives in Mexico....Actually, the schools there give out a lunch sack filled with apples, oranges, and nuts to each child. Also, when I moved to texas 5 miles away from the Mexico border I was in High School and our school in the United States did this same thing...I guess fruit baskets are a common gift in Mexico.

no way.

Why would the Mexican government care about a visa to enter the USA? Mexico isn't a state of the USA, it's an independent country. You must meet Mexico's visa requirements to enter Mexico.
3 :
i wen t in 2009 with out a visa they give me a hard time coming back but if you are white maybe you wont have a hard time try it and see.
4 :
Holders of a valid visa for the United States are exempt from the Mexican visa requirement for a tourist stay of up to 180 days since 2010. ■—■—■ Added: cool to see thumps down by idiots although the answer is backed up by trustful web sites! Who has the better film program; Montana State or New Mexico State?

Who has the better film program; Montana State or New Mexico State?
I want to go into film making and have offers from Montana State and New Mexico State film programs. I'm still a long way away from getting student loans and such, but when it comes down to it, which school should I go to for the better film education and placement after college? Any suggestions? PS. I did not get into USC or UCLA I'm afraid, they both rejected me, so question is which is better of these two, not which overall film school I should be looking at.

Better??? What are you talking about? ALL film school graduates are likely to be complete failures in the Film Industry. They end up sleeping on the streets of Hollywood in cardboard boxes, until they finally give up and start working for Taco Bell. Choose something adult and responsible to study so that you don't waste your parents' money and end up a parasite. The first thing to do is find a school that wants you and will communicate via email. The link below is a good start. http://www.teachabroad.com/Mexico.cfm They should be willing to set you up with a work visa/permit but usually that is done after you arrive on a tourist visa. A number of schools don't care much about being legal ... and they think they can pay less if you are not. Be careful in that department Keep looking and talking to people, try the Thorntree forum on Lonely Planet and especially try the Dave's ESL Cafe http://www.eslcafe.com/
2 :
i did. first, i began looking for schools on the internet. i found several interested in me, so i set up some interview dates. i went down to mexico and interviewed, and they offered me the jobs. i chose the one i liked the most, and that school began the process of aquiring a work visa for me. i paid for the visa, but they had to make the request, and they also completed all of the paperwork and provided the lawyer. i just showed up with the money for the visa. (all in total, i think it was less than 300 USD) i worked a university, starting at 9 USD an hour, plus benefits, for 25 hrs a week of work, which i survived on just fine for my meager living. at the second semester, i requested a raise, since i had proven myself to be a good teacher, and i was given 18 USD an hour. i knew they wouldn't want to lose me, but i also knew they couldn't keep up with that rate of pay for long, and i was only going to finish out the year. i think if they knew i was staying longer, they would have offered less. i would say 12-15 is competitive in a small university, private or course. and in a big city such as guadalajara or mexico city...you should go for 20-30 USD. the catch is that i have a master's degree in teaching english, which justified my pay, and allowed me to work at a university. if you have a bachelor's in english, with teaching experience...maybe you could also be an instructor at a university, but i'm not sure. if you don't have a degree that goes with teaching...i guess you could work at a language school...but this kind of work is often done without a visa (illegally) and there are no benefits, the pay is around 7-9 USD an hour, the hours flux, and you may not get paid at all sometimes because you don't have any legal basis to fight if you don't! the toughest places to get jobs are the "american schools." these schools require the same, if not more experience, than a high school or middle school in the US. the clients to these schools are often wealthy, and they demand the most experienced teachers.

call a travel agent they will help. ALSO. they are saying DO NOT go to mexico right now, the crimes are horrible and they said spring breakers need to stay out of mexico right now... i went this past summer and it was getting bad then.. GOOD LUCK! :)
2 :
I wouldn't go to Mexico right now, they are having drug wars and it is very dangerous. They have sent out a warning to college students not to go to Mexico over spring break because it is to dangerous. They are averaging 10 kidnappings a day in Mexico and its border towns.
3 :
As a Russian citizen, you cannot get a visa at the border. You must apply at the nearest Mexican consulate. See 1st site to verify that you must apply for a visa. See 2nd site for list of consulates.
