How to get from Chicago to Mexico?
I live in Chicago and want to surprise my mom with a trip to Mexico over the summer. What travel agency would you recommend? Or would it be better to just purchase tickets and hotels separately? I'm a college student, so keep in mind my funds are limited!!

Make sure you get your passports first. Be careful on to where you plan on going. Mexico has been having a lot of killings right now from the drug cartels. They are actually offering a 1 million dollar bounty to mexican citizens for information on the arrest of these certain individuals. I am of mexican descent and will not go into certain parts of mexico. I would look into taken your mom elsewhere to be be safe.

Go online and do it yourself. Travel agents get their money from you. So why not save it, and use it in Mexico. There are sites where you can check out what others have said about different resorts in Mexico, so you get the real scoop. Go to the airline sites, sometimes they will let you book your whole trip from their site.
