If you become a foreign exchange student, do your credits transfer back to your high school?

If you become a foreign exchange student, do your credits transfer back to your high school?
I would maybe like to be a foreign exchange student, but not if I have to take that year over again that I missed. I would plan on doing this my junior or senior year and plan on going to Mexico. Would my credits transfer there? and also where do you sign up for foreign exchange? Thanks

In order to receive credit for sure you have to use a program registered with CSIET. If you do not, it is likely that you will not receive credit. You should also take to your school's guidance councilor about this as they will know about what students have done in the past and what they recommend. The CSIET website is here: http://www.csiet.org/ Most foreign exchange programs have a website for you to submit an online application.

You would need to ask you high school as they are the only ones that can answer that question.

Yes, of course they do! Many times, the grades don't figure into your cum.

What makes you think any school outside the US even uses "credits"? You will need to ask your school what the system is for people who spend time being educated in a different education system.

Is there somewhere in Mexico to finish a GED, (in English)?

Is there somewhere in Mexico to finish a GED, (in English)?
I'm an instructor and I have a student being deported to Mexico. He only needs 20 points to complete the GED, (in the English language). Does anyone know where I could direct him in Mexico to finish his secondary education?

If he is being deported, he won't need the GED. He can finish his secondary school in Mexico at any appropriate secondary school. The school can enter him for appropriate leaving exams, presumably in Spanish. He will be living in Mexico, where Mexican qualifications are more appropriate.

I think that for you its going to be easy to afford an Education over there.Well It depends on what type of University you want to go to....I don't really know the average cost for international students to go to the University in Mexico, but I thin you should find a University first and call them to ask or visit their website.I want to go the La Universidad Autonoma De Mexico, its a University in Mexico City and one of the best there is I think.Im also interested in going to College over there because I have a lot of friends that live over there and I can speak very fluent spanish since Im half Mexican:D
