Are you in Mexico on a Visa or a tourist Permit (FMM) ? This is very ambiguous when some answerer`s call the Tourist Permit a Card and a Visa.....It is neither. Visas have to be applied for at Mexican consulates around the world in countries that are on Mexico`s list of countries that are required to do so. New Electronic FM3s and FM2s are Cards. Here is a very thorough link where you can find all the information you need to know.

I am actually not sure how that income requirement is handled if you are applying for an FM3 with work permit. The 2 pages below should be helpful. In May there were big changes made to the visa system and rules. You really need to locate the nearest INM office and go in and talk with them. They will answer your questions and guide you. If this job is a low-skilled or a very short term job, it is very unlikely that a work permit will be granted. Most employers who hire foreign citizens know the whole process and help you through it...they not send you to do it on your own. There will be a fee of a few hundred dollars.

A job offer and a lawyer to help you.
4 :
Try the INM website (given as Source), which asks you step by step for your qualifications and spits out an answer based on your particular kind of FM3. Alternatively, talk to a paralegal (their signs include the words "trámites" and "inmigración") or an attorney who handles INM paperwork ("derecho administrativo").

Visit the Rollybrook site Charlie posted - has all the info. UUHHMM - If they are sending you to do the leg work - they have probably never done this before and don't realize the in's and out's of what it takes. This is a long ,difficult, gov't process. Cost's a couple of hundred dollars ,and is next to impossible to get.

How soon before Mexico & Obama demand all parties arrested for daring to put Dream Act Student In Prison?

How soon before Mexico & Obama demand all parties arrested for daring to put Dream Act Student In Prison?
TUCSON, Ariz. -- An illegal immigrant from Mexico will spend the next six years in prison for assaulting two Border Patrol agents near the Arizona border last year. Federal prosecutors said a judge sentenced Jaime Martinez-Garcia, 26, in U.S. District Court in Tucson. Jurors convicted Martinez-Garcia in August of two counts of assaulting a federal officer and one count of illegal re-entry after deportation. Investigators said the incident happened just three days after Martinez-Garcia was deported. They said he fought with one agent and hit the other with a big rock. Martinez-Garcia was shot before he hit the second agent with another rock http://www.kpho.com/news/25966144/detail.html Supporters and Mexico have always said rocks are harmless, how soon before the arrests start taking place ?

He doesn't sound like he would have been a dream act person anyway. If he came here illegally as an adult, then he didn't qualify in the first place. I'm glad he was caught--all violent people should be stopped. Their citizen status shouldn't make a difference.

Where's the part about the Dream Act student? I'm sorry I'm kinda lost.
3 :
no wouldnt be a dream act beneficiary. dont know why you keep posting these questions. you obviously have the wrong idea of who would benefit from the dream act. let me give you an example. Promising Harvard sophomore, Eric Balderas, faces deportation http://www.allvoices.com/contributed-news/6099451-promising-harvard-sophomore-eric-balderas-faces-deportation this guy has a full scholarship to harvard, is a molecular biology major, and wants to find a cure for cancer. you can not deny that he would be an asset to this country.
4 :
Should be very soon. Mexicans throw rocks all the time with backing from Mexico rocks are not dangerous and believe the border agents should just turn around and flee, instead of defending themselves

If you are a U.S. citizen than you are not an international student.
2 :
If you're a resident in the United States than you're not an International student.
3 :
Being an international student means where your residency lies, it has nothing to do with where you were born. If you are a US resident then you are not an international student! If you are a perm resident and hold a perm res card/green card, then that makes you a permanent resident (in the middle) - you just need to provide that info to the school but you are legal to go to school in the US. Good luck!
4 :
There are different kinds of residency. In lieu of USA citizenship, you must have permanent immigrant status (ie "green card"). There are other forms of residency/work visas available to Mexican citizens — eg TN or TD — which are NOT equivalent to permanent residency status.
5 :
Permanent Residents are considered like citizens.

maybe. first you have to apply and be accepted. then the school has to issue you an I-20 student form and register you in the student database. after that, you can apply for the visa.
