The best public university in Mexico is UNAM. They have a center for foreign students who want to learn Spanish and teach it as a second language in their countries. This is the webpage: http://www.cepe.unam.mx/index.php?idioma=ing&tema= I think you can find everything you need there. Good luck!!

How to get my student visa?
How to get my student visa?
I am from mexico, but i have living and going to school in the united states for 8 years. I am about to graduate high school here in the united states next week. I do not want to leave, how to do I make it possible for me to stay. I do not know if I have a student visa. I heard you have to have one to go to school hear, but where would I go to get it if I do? What would need to happen for me to stay here? I do not want to leave!

If you're here illegally and are less than 18, you can probably return to Mexico and apply for a student visa and not have the 10-year bar kick in. Wait to 18 though and you become responsible for your own actions. You probably can go to college if you're here illegally, but you'd probably need to pay full freight, i.e. out-of-state or foreign student tuition. Some states don't let illegal aliens attend college at all, 10 others such as California even provide in-state tuition although you have to have lived in the state 3 years and have graduated from high school there. (As California goes bankrupt, we may even see that benefit done away with.) If you entered without inspection, then there's no way to legalize without returning to your home country. Even marriage to an American won't do that. If you entered with inspection and it sounds like you may have, then marriage to a U.S. citizen would allow you to adjust status without leaving. Without legalizing, there will be no way for you to work legally even with a college degree or degrees.

hey, yo tambien soy de Mexico y vine a Estados Unidos a la universidad... this i what you have to do... look for the college you want to go to.. most colleges have an international student program... Call some colleges ... you have to go through a couple of procedures to be on a F-1 visa-student visa, some of them are... you have to be able to proof that your parents can afford it... they will ask for bank statements, to make sure you can live here on your own without having a job... However.. if you want to get a job you can... its called Optional Practical traning... you can apply as long a you've been attending college at least for a a year... OPT lasts 12 months.. i used mine after i graduated and it was the best decision.. because i was able to work full time and didn't have to worry about school. let me know if you have any questions you can email me by going to my profile and good luck
3 :
Speak to the international student office at the college where you have been accepted. You will have to pay out of state tuition rates. And after you graduate you cannot get a job with the degree as all jobs for college grads check immigration status. You will have to return to Mexico to find a job to use your degree. So I suggest studying something they can use in Mexico like engineering. No BA degrees. BS degree only.
4 :
The school will have to accept you and issue the i20 for immigration. But if your out of status that could get you deported. You need to see a lawyer mate
5 :
If you are here illegally, your only option is to leave and apply for a student visa to come back. You can only apply for a student visa from your home country. It cannot be done if you are already here. You cannot change status if you are living here illegally. If you chose to stay here illegally after you turn 18 1/2,you are making the decision as an adult and can be deported with a ban on returning when caught.
6 :
If you are an illegal alien you must return to your own country before you are 18 1/2 years old without penanty. You can then apply to come back legally without penalty. Otherwise, no college, no nothing for you. No American dream because you are an illegal alien.

what do i need to stay in mexico for a year?
I am 18 years old and my fiance lives in Chiapas Mexico. I want to go and stay with him for a year until he can get his visa and passport. I want to eventually live there in the future. I looked on the internet and it said could stay there for 6 months without a visa and there is a student visa for a year. Do you what I need to be looking or what i need to live there?

What do you need to stay in Mexico for a year? Patience, determination and money. Low motivation and willingness to get drunk a lot also help.
4 :
Chiapas should be fine. You can actually go in with a 180 day visa. Once there, you can apply for permanent residence, as you will be his fiance. So there is a permanent resident route, education visa route, and tourist...but there is another way too. Chiapas is literally right next to the border. All you have to do is go to spend a weekend in Guatemala, and they will stamp you for another six months. Do it every 2 or 3 months or so, they won't really care.
5 :
6 months is your limit .... period !! And is is not without a visa ... it's with a FMM Tourist Visa. If you are not flying back you could probably get away with over staying your visa as they don't check at the border. Flying back requires a current visa. If you've never been to Mexico there's a good chance you'll head back in a few months
6 :
You can get a 6 month tourist permit, and when it is near to expiring, you need to go to the border, cross, return in a few hours and get a new 6 month permit. You may not work. You need to know that it is nearly impossible for a Mexican citizen, especially a young man, to get even a tourist visa to the U.S. The only possible way for him to immigrate to the U.S. is for you to sponsor him for a fiance visa...you must be in the U.S., and he must be in Mexico. An internet relationship will not qualify. See site below. If you decide to live in Mexico in the future...that is a different thing entirely...see 2nd site.

apply for a visa. You can ask your school to send her a invitation letter for ur graduation. Then, she can apply for the visa easier. My mom did the same thing too.
2 :
Unless your sister has other US immigration documents, she will need to apply at the nearest US foreign mission in Mexico for a B1/B2 visitor's visa. See the following Department of State website for other information: http://mexico.usembassy.gov/eng/evisas.html
