Is it possible for me, an American student, to go to a university in Mexico?
Not by means of a study abroad program. I would like to do all my studying there, and eventually become a doctor and work somewhere in Mexico. Is that possible, and if so, what do I have to do?

It's easy. Go online and apply. I studied there when I was 19.

Why the heck would you want to? You already live in a country with arguably the best medical schools on the planet and you want to go to Mexico for Med school? Get your degree here and then go to Mexico or other disadvantaged country to help them. You only go to med school in Mexico if no other program will accept you.

Yes, you can, as long as you meet all the criteria. If you want to study medicine I highly recomend you UNAM, it is considered to be the best University in Latin America and it is ranked among the best Universities in the world and believe it or not mexican citizens pay NOTHING to study there, getting accepted is not easy at all, the entry test is hard and there are many applicants who want to study medicine, one thing you have to be aware of is that you have to speak spanish very good, some universities in Mexico offer studies in english but it is maninyl for posgraduate studies, UNAM does not hold classes in english for its undergraduate students in Medicine.
