Don't dress "sexy"--that's asking for trouble. Travel with others (classmates, host family) if you're going shopping or the movies. Have your parents set up a bank account with an ATM card in your town. Then they can put money into the account and you can withdraw it, with your ATM card, in Saltillo. Just withdraw it as you need it--don't carry too much cash on your person at any time. And don't flash the money around.

look I'm form that city but I'm living in unites states for long time and i have seem to many changes in that city but the best thing you can do is don't go out to a place you don't know and only with people are in charge of you safety if some invite you make sure they know where you going and who is that person I'm thinking to do the same thing with my son because he needs to learn speak in Spanish .

Yeah, dress fairly conservatively, no cleavage, bare midriff, etc.,what might be fairly normal in the US might be considered "whorish" in Mexico and guys will treat you accordingly. If you do get unwanted attention, do what the native women seem to do, which is act like they don't exist.

How international student in America get Visa to Mexico?
I'm an international student in Indiana. My friend and I planned to visit Mexico in spring break, but we have no idea where and how to apply for Visa. Also, can anyone tell us what documents that we need for applying? Are there any limitations for the international students to apply for the visa? Thanks!

I live in Mexico. If you plan to visit for less than 180 days, all you need is a tourist card. If you fly, you can obtain it on the airplane (they take care of this all the time.) If you drive, you can get it at the border. Cost is about $20.00 You will both need a passport..you from your country and your friend a U.S. passport. You should also have a certified copy of your birth certificate. you do not need to do any other paperwork. If your American friend does not already have a passport, he/she can go to the post office in your town to fill out papers. Please allow 8 weeks to get it as the passport offices are very busy now with new rules going into effect. A U.S. passport costs $97.00 total. Your friend can look on the web site below to read the requirements for obtaining a passport. If you are going to travel in March, better apply for that passport right away.

Where in Mexico? It varies greatly by location.
2 :
It depends on the city, the neighborhood, what kind of housing you require/will accept, and what your dietary and entertainment habits are. My son shares an apartment in moderately middle class zone of Mexico City with 2 other young men. Not counting tuition it costs me $1000 dollars a month to maintain him there.

congratulations!!..UDLA is the best university of mexico,if you stay in cholula is cheaper than puebla but is smaller!!( less fun..ajjaj), apartament and food with 1000 usd a month (if you share)

What website(s) provides information about obtaining a student visa for studying in Mexico as a US citizen?
This fall I'm going to study in Mexico for 9 months. I'm a US citizen, but Mexico grants dual citizenship, so technically I'm a citizen of both countries (I was born in Mexico). Do I need a student visa to study in Mexico if I have dual citizenship in both US and Mexico? Where can I find this information?

If you are mexican .why would you need a visa
2 :
If you haven't lost your citizenship in Mexico, you don't need visa to study here. You only need an address in Mexico and your birth certificate for the school. However, if you want to study here in Mexico as US Citizen, the best place to obtain information is the Secretaria de Relaciones Exteriores website. (www.SRE.gob.mx). And the requirements of the school that you looking for.

Can a College student from Mexico transfer to California College?

Can a College student from Mexico transfer to California College?
I have a cousin from Mexico who is studying architecture but he wants to move to Cali and study here. Can he transfer to a college here or does he need a diploma from a US high school?

He needs a education permit to study here and would probably have to take some sort of placement exam.
2 :
He's unlikely to be accepted to a USA accredited School of Architecture unless his school results in Mexico were outstanding.

Are you sure your not confusing a passport with a visa? You shouldn't need a ticket to get a visa, but you will need a passport first.

Can you imagine the laughter they would get at the American Embassy in Mexico, trying to get a visa? Because if they do, they would actually have to pay tuition, and why would they do that when crossing the border illegally equals free tuition?
2 :
i have. there's actually a lot of exchange students from Mexico at my school.
